As we head into the 2025 financial year, there’s a growing sense of momentum among HR leaders across Europe. After a more subdued end to 2024, Oakleaf Partnership Europe is seeing a steady rise in hiring activity across key markets.
This renewed pace comes as organisations move away from the reactive, high-volume hiring that followed the pandemic. Instead, many are focusing on long-term planning—looking at leadership succession, business transformation, and building workforces that are ready for the future. We’re seeing more senior HR professionals re-entering the job market, having stayed in their roles during recent years to provide stability and direction.
Expertise in transformation remains in high demand, with strong hiring activity across both the commercial and financial sectors. There’s a clear focus on diversity at senior levels, with clients requesting inclusive and gender-balanced shortlists—especially for CHRO and CPO positions.
Working models continue to evolve. While some companies are beginning to bring employees back into the office, others are maintaining flexibility—approaches that differ by sector and location. HR leaders remain central in shaping these policies.
One of the most important developments this year is the rollout of the EU Pay Transparency Directive. Companies are preparing for new rules around salary reporting, clearer pay structures, and closing gender pay gaps. This is increasing demand for reward specialists and data-driven HR leadership.
At Oakleaf Partnership Europe, we’re proud to be supporting businesses across the region as they adapt, grow, and transform—connecting them with the HR talent that will drive success in 2025 and beyond.
Congratulations to the following individuals on their new roles in just some of our key locations!
