Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership, aligning HR strategies with business and operational goals
- Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues; coach managers on performance, conduct, and conflict resolution
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles, partnering with hiring managers to meet staffing needs
- Lead new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth integration into the organization
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA standards, and internal policies
- Support and coordinate training programs including safety, compliance, leadership development, and skills training
- Guide performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and performance improvement plans
- Maintain accurate employee data and reporting through HRIS systems; analyze HR metrics to support business decisions
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing and address employee inquiries
- Drive employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs to promote a positive workplace culture
- Partner with the Safety and Operations teams to promote and maintain a strong safety culture on the plant floor
- Build trust and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, from plant employees to senior leadership
- Champion continuous improvement within HR processes and employee programs to enhance organizational effectiveness
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor relations, and employment law
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, plant-floor environment
Pay range and compensation package – $85,000 – $95,000
