Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary HR business partner to R&D leaders, supporting organizational design, talent strategy, and change management initiatives.

Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for the R&D function.

Drive employee engagement and retention strategies tailored to technical and scientific talent.

Partner with Talent Development to build and implement learning programs that support innovation, leadership growth, and skill development within R&D.

Collaborate closely with Compensation, Benefits, and HR Operations to ensure equitable and competitive programs aligned with R&D market benchmarks.

Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, performance coaching, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Lead HR initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the R&D environment.

Support cultural alignment and integration during M&A activity or expansion of R&D capabilities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred.

10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years partnering directly with R&D or technical functions in a manufacturing, biotech, or industrial setting.

Demonstrated success in supporting high-performing, innovation-driven environments.

Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational dynamics.

Proven ability to influence and build trust with senior leadership.

Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and project management skills.
