After graduating in 2009 with a degree in Graphic Design from Norwich University College of the Arts, I spent some time backpacking around Europe before returning to the UK and began working in recruitment. Initially I focussed on placing individuals within the Healthcare market, moving onto transactional Finance placements following my move to London.
I wanted to join Oakleaf due to their consultative and transparent approach to business. I am passionate about building relationships with clients and candidates alike, and it is great to be working at Oakleaf with such knowledgeable consultants in one of the largest Reward functions in the market. I now head up the Professional Services, Insurance and Broking market for Mid to Senior Level Permanent recruitment.
Outside of work I enjoy drawing, and recently finished illustrating a children’s book for a nominee of the Australian Author of the year (2017), along with some smaller freelance projects. I also enjoy walking, reading, cooking and travelling.
In the first of a three part series, Elizabeth Kerry asks a recently placed candidate to share their experience of looking for Reward jobs in a pandemic.
“It was a pleasure working with Liz. Her approach was brilliant!
Firstly, by meeting me to see if the role would be the right “fit” for both me and the Company.
She then ensured that I was kept up to date and engaged on the status of my application from start to finish, even in the unprecedented times we are currently facing. Prior to every interview, she briefed me on not only what I should expect from the interview in terms of questioning but also provided background to the person I was “meeting” so I felt comfortable.
I felt supported throughout the recruitment process.
Thanks again Liz. If ever I am looking for a change, you will be my first point of contact!"
