HR Business Partner
Global Financial Services Business / Strategic HR Leadership and Hands On Approach
We are partnering with a highly successful global financial services business to appoint an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support a high-performing and demanding client group of approximately 75 employees.
This is a genuinely influential HR role, with the CEO as your key stakeholder. You will act as their trusted HR advisor, providing strategic counsel and challenge across people, organisational and leadership matters, while ensuring the business continues to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.
The Role
As Senior HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of the people agenda for your client group, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align people strategy with commercial objectives.
You will operate as a trusted and credible advisor, bringing sound judgement, commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge when required. The environment is successful, fast-paced and demanding, so this role will suit someone who enjoys working with high-calibre stakeholders and is comfortable operating with pace and autonomy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the trusted HR advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Partnering with a successful client group of approximately 75 employees.
- Developing and delivering a commercially aligned people strategy.
- Providing senior-level advice and challenge across organisational design, talent, performance, succession and employee relations.
- Supporting leaders through organisational change and business transformation.
- Identifying and addressing people risks proactively.
- Driving leadership development, engagement and talent initiatives.
- Using data and insight to influence business and people decisions.
- Working collaboratively with the wider HR team and specialist functions to deliver an excellent employee experience.
About You
We are looking for a seasoned and experienced HR Business Partner who has the credibility and maturity to operate at CEO level.
You will ideally bring:
- Significant HRBP experience within banking, insurance or a closely related financial services environment.
- Experience partnering with senior executives, ideally at CEO or C-suite level.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect people strategy to business performance.
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
- The confidence to challenge senior leaders constructively.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, with strong judgement and discretion.
- Experience working in complex, high-performing and demanding environments.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable getting into the detail when required.
