We are partnering with a well-established, purpose-led organisation to recruit an experienced Reward Manager at an exciting point in the development of its People and Reward agenda.
With a new People Strategy recently launched and significant investment being made across its HR infrastructure and systems, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Reward specialist to take ownership of a broad and varied remit and play a key role in embedding and evolving the organisation's reward offering.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will provide specialist reward expertise and operational leadership, translating the organisation's Reward Strategy into effective frameworks, processes and practices.
An initial priority will be embedding a revised job architecture, job evaluation approach and pay structures, before taking ongoing ownership of the wider reward agenda.
The Role
As Reward Manager, you will be responsible for:
-
Supporting the implementation of the Reward Strategy and wider People Strategy, translating agreed priorities into effective and sustainable reward practices.
-
Managing and maintaining the organisation's job architecture, job evaluation and grading frameworks.
-
Leading the end-to-end annual pay and bonus review cycles, including modelling, data preparation, moderation, approvals, communications and implementation.
-
Undertaking external market benchmarking and salary survey activity, using market and internal data to inform reward decisions.
-
Producing high-quality reward analytics and modelling, translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
-
Maintaining robust reward governance, policies, processes and controls, ensuring decisions are fair, consistent and compliant.
-
Supporting the ongoing development of employee benefits and recognition programmes.
-
Acting as a trusted Reward adviser to senior leaders, managers and HR colleagues on complex reward matters.
-
Maintaining accurate reward data and supporting the effective use, configuration and testing of HR and reward systems.
-
Managing relationships with external reward advisers, benefits providers and other key suppliers.
-
Leading the production of the Gender Pay Gap Report and other reward-related legislative and regulatory reporting.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Reward professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to build credibility and influence at senior level.
You will ideally bring:
-
Significant experience across Reward, Compensation & Benefits within a complex organisation.
-
Strong experience managing annual pay and bonus review cycles.
-
Practical experience of job evaluation, grading, job architecture and pay structures.
-
Strong knowledge of salary benchmarking, market data and reward modelling.
-
Advanced numerical and analytical capability, including strong Excel skills and confidence working with complex reward data.
-
Experience using HR, HCM or Reward systems and maintaining high levels of data accuracy.
-
A strong understanding of total reward, including base pay, variable pay, benefits, pensions and recognition.
-
Knowledge of UK employment law, equal pay principles, data protection and reward governance.
-
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise and constructively challenge senior leaders.
-
The ability to translate complex reward information into clear, practical and commercially focused recommendations.
Experience within a regulated, financial services or public-sector environment would be advantageous, as would a relevant HR or Reward qualification such as CIPD, CCP or CBP.
Why Apply?
