The Opportunity

We are partnering with a complex, international organisation to appoint a Global Director of People Partnering & Change Delivery into a pivotal senior leadership role.

Operating at enterprise level, this role will lead the organisation's strategic People Partnering and Change Delivery agenda, working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure business priorities, workforce requirements and organisational challenges are translated into a clear and commercially focused people strategy.

Joining at a significant point of organisational transformation, you will play a central role in shaping how the People function supports the organisation as it evolves. This includes driving a more strategic and integrated approach to people partnering, building organisational capability and ensuring the people implications of major transformation programmes are effectively understood and delivered.

This is a broad, highly influential role for an established HR leader who can operate strategically while ensuring plans translate into tangible organisational outcomes.

The Role

As Global Director of People Partnering & Change Delivery, you will:

  • Lead the strategic People Partnering agenda, working directly with senior leaders to translate organisational priorities into enterprise-wide people and workforce interventions.

  • Shape and continually evolve the organisation's People Strategy, ensuring it reflects both current priorities and future workforce requirements.

  • Lead global People Partnering and Change Delivery teams, setting the direction and standards for strategic partnering and business-facing people support.

  • Translate organisational strategy into integrated people plans spanning workforce, leadership, talent, capability, culture and organisational performance.

  • Establish and lead an internal people consultancy capability, providing specialist expertise to support strategic initiatives and complex organisational change.

  • Ensure the people implications of transformation are identified early and effectively managed, including workforce impacts, leadership capability, stakeholder engagement, change adoption and organisational readiness.

  • Shape and prioritise demand for people interventions, ensuring resources and expertise are deployed against the areas of greatest organisational value.

  • Work across specialist People functions to provide senior stakeholders with coherent, joined-up solutions rather than operating through individual HR disciplines.

  • Use workforce data, organisational insight and external trends to influence strategic decision-making and workforce planning.

  • Build leadership capability and accountability for people leadership, organisational performance and the successful delivery of change.

About You

We are looking for an established HR Director / People Director / senior strategic HR Business Partner with significant experience operating within complex organisations.

You will bring:

  • 10+ years' experience within strategic HR partnering, including significant experience operating at Director level.

  • A strong track record of partnering with Executive and senior leadership teams.

  • Experience working within a large, complex and ideally international or globally matrixed organisation.

  • Strong commercial and organisational acumen, with the ability to understand business performance and translate strategy into practical people priorities.

  • Significant experience of organisational transformation and complex change.

  • Demonstrable experience of strategic workforce planning and talent management.

  • The ability to develop and deliver prioritised, commercially focused workforce and people plans.

  • Experience working across multiple HR disciplines and bringing specialist expertise together to solve complex organisational challenges.

  • Strong analytical capability, with confidence using workforce data and insight to influence senior-level decision-making.

  • Experience of building or leading an internal consultancy model, including managing and prioritising demand across competing organisational priorities.

You will be an influential and credible senior HR leader, comfortable challenging thinking at the highest levels while building trusted relationships across a complex stakeholder environment.

You will combine strategic thinking with strong execution, bringing the ability to move between enterprise-level organisational challenges and the practical delivery required to make change successful.

A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is required, alongside a senior-level professional HR qualification or equivalent experience. A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, MSc in Human Resources or Organisational Psychology would be advantageous.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to take on a genuinely enterprise-wide People leadership role at a significant point of transformation.

You will have the opportunity to shape the future People Strategy, influence senior leadership thinking and build a more integrated approach to strategic partnering and change delivery across a complex international organisation.

For an experienced People leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, transformation, organisational effectiveness and workforce planning, this offers significant scope to make an organisation-wide impact.
