The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading private equity-backed technology platform business to recruit an experienced Interim Senior HR Business Partner for an initial 3-month assignment.
Operating within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, the business has experienced significant growth and continues to evolve following a period of investment and acquisition activity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on HR professional to join a lean and collaborative People function during a period of change.
Working closely with the Head of HR and wider People leadership team, you will provide senior-level HR support across the business, ensuring business-as-usual activity continues seamlessly while supporting several key people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
-
Partner with senior stakeholders to provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice and support.
-
Manage complex employee relations matters, providing expert guidance and ensuring appropriate resolutions.
-
Support the delivery of the annual performance review process, working closely with managers to drive effective performance management.
-
Provide hands-on HR support across a broad range of operational and strategic people matters.
-
Support organisational change and transformation initiatives, including potential M&A-related activity.
-
Work closely with the wider People team to ensure continuity of HR delivery during a period of transition.
-
Coach and support junior HR colleagues, providing guidance on more complex HR matters.
-
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted and credible HR partner.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner who can quickly establish credibility, work autonomously and make an immediate impact.
You will ideally bring:
-
Significant experience operating at Senior HR Business Partner level within a fast-paced, commercially driven organisation.
-
Previous experience working within a private equity-backed business, ideally within a technology or platform-led environment.
-
A strong background in employee relations, performance management and generalist HR delivery.
-
Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or M&A activity would be highly advantageous.
-
The ability to balance strategic thinking with a genuinely hands-on approach.
-
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders.
-
A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to hit the ground running with minimal handover.
Experience within a technology-led or high-growth business would be particularly advantageous, alongside an understanding of the pace and demands of a private equity-backed environment.
The Details
This is an urgent interim requirement, with the business ideally looking for someone who can start immediately.
The initial assignment will be for 3 months, providing senior HR support while the business recruits a permanent appointment.
The business is flexible on engagement structure and will consider both fixed-term contracts and day-rate arrangements, depending on experience.
You will need to be available to work on-site in Manchester approximately once per week, with travel expenses covered.
If you are an experienced, hands-on Senior HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-paced environments and is available at short notice, we would love to hear from you.
