We are partnering with a highly respected client in New York City that is seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join its Well-being and Benefits team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the administration, enhancement, and delivery of employee benefits and well-being programs within a large, complex organization.

The position reports to the Well-being and Benefits Manager and supports a broader HR team of approximately 40 professionals. Employees are expected to work in the office three days per week, with flexibility around which days are onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support U.S. employee benefits programs, including:
    • Medical, dental, and vision plans
    • Family-building and family support benefits
    • Employee well-being initiatives and programs
  • Manage relationships with third-party benefits vendors and partners.
  • Lead and support annual open enrollment processes and employee communications.
  • Assist with benefits renewals, plan evaluations, and program enhancements.
  • Handle escalated employee benefits issues and inquiries.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, HR colleagues, legal counsel, and vendors to ensure effective program administration and compliance.
  • Support the implementation of new benefits and well-being programs from concept through execution.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 5+ years of dedicated benefits administration experience.
  • Strong experience managing:
    • Open enrollment
    • Vendor management
    • Benefits renewals
    • Compliance
    • Employee escalations
    • Program administration
  • Experience implementing and supporting employee well-being programs.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
