We are partnering with a global manufacturing consumer organization to identify a Senior Manager, Commercial Finance & FP&A. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines financial planning and analysis with commercial business partnering, supporting a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead the monthly forecasting process, including assumptions, consolidation, stakeholder alignment, submissions, and executive reviews.
- Drive annual budgeting and long-range planning activities.
- Maintain disciplined risk and opportunity tracking processes to improve forecast accuracy.
- Develop scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Ensure alignment between financial plans, demand forecasts, commercial assumptions, and operational priorities.
Performance Reporting & Business Insights
- Lead month-end close analysis and divisional financial reporting.
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis across revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and key business drivers.
- Produce executive reporting packages that translate financial performance into actionable insights.
- Support senior leadership by identifying business risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Commercial Finance & Profitability Management
- Partner with business leaders to manage costs, investments, and productivity initiatives.
- Conduct customer, channel, category, and product profitability analysis.
- Develop financial models that support pricing, investment, and growth decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, spending efficiency, and overall financial performance.
- Drive financial discipline while maintaining a commercially pragmatic approach.
Business Partnership & Strategic Support
- Act as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional leaders.
- Support key business decisions through financial modelling, scenario planning, and ROI analysis.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and provide clear recommendations supported by data.
- Help stakeholders understand trade-offs and implications of strategic decisions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior finance talent.
- Establish clear priorities, standards, and processes across the team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Enhance financial storytelling and business partnering capabilities within the broader finance function.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or related finance functions.
- Strong experience owning forecasts, budgets, planning processes, and management reporting.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
