Raising the bar in HR Recruitment …

Over the last 18 months we have listened to feedback from HR teams at all levels and across all sectors who bemoan the fact that, rather like “Cobbler’s Children”, HR do not always make the best recruiters for their own function. Indeed one quote was that hiring for HR was “a bit of a gamble!”. A lot of the evidence is anecdotal, so we felt that it was worth exploring in more detail, particularly in the current environment where hiring the right person is even more crucial – getting it wrong is costly both financially and reputationally.

I am therefore sending you a link to brief survey and ask that you spend a few moments to give us your valuable feedback. It should only take a few minutes to complete, and we will confidentially share the output with all contributors. Our ultimate aim is to raise the profile of the profession and improve success rates. In the survey, please answer in relation to your current or previous firm.

People Risk Solutions are helping me with the analysis of the resulting data and will also include input resulting from the development of their own assessment packages.

Thank you in advance for your contribution and I hope you can see the benefit of this work to us all.

All the best and thanks for your help.

PS All those who complete the survey will be entered into a draw and the winner will receive a £250 named charitable donation to a charity of their choice paid for by Oakleaf Partnership.  The winner will be announced live via twitter (@oakleafHR) at 12.00 on Friday 16th December and paid before Christmas.
