What a start to the year! Here at the Oakleaf Partnership we have seen a significant uplift in new roles being called in from a variety of sectors across London and the South East. This has also been the case for new candidate registrations, and we have been excited with the new talent coming onto our books who are looking to utilise our services rather than the normal routes they have taken in the past.
Clients are buying into the changes and demands relating to payroll professionals and the roles we are winning offer varied responsibilities, flexible working and the chance to run, own and drive the payroll offering.
Clients are also buying into our brand and we are seeing a change in the guard due to competitors’ poor levels of service, becoming stale and forgetting where they have come from (what made them successful). Change is good, its healthy competition but once you get to a certain level that’s when the hard work really starts as you have to maintain standards.
Our Financial Services Team are leading the way having made significant placements in 2017, and this trend is carrying into 2018 across permanent, temporary and contract positions. We are looking to expand our team by taking on two new members of staff to help build out this division further so that we can continue our high levels of customer service and can talk to new and existing clients on a more regular basis.
In addition to the above my colleague Grant Ward has done a fantastic job in building out our Commerce & Industry offering since joining in 2017 and, in line with our HR business, has huge growth plans to become the number 1 Payroll consultancy within this field. The team have had a great start and inline with our Financial Services Team are looking to recruit new consultants to work alongside our clients and show the Oakleaf love.
This is also the case for our candidates as I’m more than aware that keeping in contact on a weekly and monthly basis is critical to our growth but also our brand. We do not differentiate clients and candidates, all are the same and all should receive the same levels of service. So, the new hires that we are taking on will be able to strengthen our philosophy as being the go to Payroll Recruitment Specialist and help every Payroll professional in their current and future career.
