My First Few Weeks Working For Oakleaf

After starting to work with Oakleaf in February and successfully going through an impressive induction, my first few months working from home were enjoyable and somewhat easier as you could get used to new systems and the way of working. Oakleaf implemented one of the smoothest and most professional inductions I have experienced and all this whilst remote working. I had virtual coffees with all my colleagues booked in my diary from day one which instantly made me feel part of the team.

Then came the day to slowly start going back into the office and the fear of my first day of meeting my team that I felt I already knew became real and somewhat scary. I was nervous of people listening to me making calls and interacting with colleagues after spending so much time alone which was a concern for me. The worry that the relationship I had created with my colleagues via video calls maybe a disappointment in person or the pressure I had put on myself to deliver the standard that I have been taught by my impressive induction was at the forefront of my mind.

22nd April was my first day back in the office.  All of my nerves left me very quickly as not only were my colleagues warm and welcoming, but they are also the upmost professionals and the best in the business. My nerves have been taken over by excitement with how busy we are, especially with a high demand of internal recruitment roles and interim HR jobs. With the economy slowly opening I can safely say I made the right choice with join Oakleaf Partnership. After over 10 years working in recruitment, I have never been so supported by an organisation like Oakleaf from delivery of my equipment, introducing my to their clients and simply making me feel part of the family.

If you are reading this as an employer looking to onboard during this period or as a candidate on the verge of joining a new role and have reservations, I can only hope my article gives you hope and encouragement. I hope your experience is as seamless and first class as mine has been!
