Senior HR Advisor

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist with a strong ER background to join this family run company based just outside of Cardiff. This role is an FTC for 12 months with an immediate start.

4 day week / flexible working will also be considered.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders to instil confidence in advice

  • Provide sound HR Advice to the business, with a high focus on proactively managing ER processes

  • Use questioning, listening and investigation techniques to quickly identify the root cause of a situation and provide advice based on this

  • Mediate in conflict situations to ensure a mutually agreed, lasting and meaningful resolution

  • Able to effectively manage situations involving challenging individuals

  • Deliver training in ER, soft skills, management, process and procedure.

  • Manage and develop formal processes around disciplinary and grievance

  • Conduct training of managers to develop a pool of skilled investigators, chairs and appeal chairs

  • Provide regular and meaningful feedback to the Company to identify patterns and trends in ER issues

  • Act impartially in all situations to facilitate fair and transparent ER processes

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Part qualified CIPD member
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working in an HR role with at least 3 years at HR Advisor level
  • Experience of providing HR support to multiple staff groups offering advice and guidance
