After graduating from The University of Leeds, then training with PwC as a Chartered Accountant I moved into the career I enjoy the most - recruitment, where I have remained for over 20 years. My recruitment experience covers Finance, Marketing and HR but my heart lies in HR – a sector I love recruiting in. I have significant experience of managing and delivering recruitment assignments on both a permanent and interim basis. I have worked and lived in Yorkshire, London and have spent the last 12 years in the Midlands. I live with my husband on the rural edge of the Black Country and spend my spare time with our two Jack russells.
2 ½ year journey and we are only just getting started
'We fully anticipate that the demand for HR interim resources will continue to increase as businesses get ready to respond to skills shortages and the potential changes Brexit could bring.'
We were joined by HR Leaders from across the Midlands, as well as by Chris Hare, Economist from HSBC and Audrey Elliott, Employment & Immigration Partner from Eversheds Sutherland.

"It is so refreshing to meet a Recruitment Company that places as much importance on candidate management as client management. Oakleaf impressed me from the moment we started talking - Rebecca and Sarah have both taken time to get an accurate understanding of my job search requirements which translates to a more worthwhile exchange when a suitable vacancy arises."
Clare Tipton, HR Manager
Having recently set out on the path to finding a new role, I feel I've encountered the full spectrum of customer service from external recruitment firms and, for me, the Midlands team at Oakleaf are up there with the best of them. The always friendly and helpful team remained in frequent contact with me throughout my search, even if only to tell me they were still looking or I'd been unsuccessful in my applications; an often overlooked level of honesty I truly appreciated and commonly found wanting from others. Unlike so many others it seems, these guys really do see the value in building lasting relationships with job seekers which I believe sets them apart in the current market.

I have known Sarah Evans for over 15 years and have sought her services both as a HR professional seeking a job move as well as using her consultancy services to find new HR professionals for my own team. Despite the many HR recruitment consultants available, I have followed Sarah to different agencies over the years as she advanced her own career. Sarah is one of those rare finds in the world of recruiters. Her communication style is efficient – in consideration of the frantic world of her HR clients and she swiftly grasps the needs of the assignments she is given both in terms of role responsibilities and cultural fit. She knows her market at both the mid-tier and senior levels and adheres to the agreed timescales when presenting a shortlist. Having been a candidate of Sarah’s I am also familiar with the trusted relationships she develops from the other side and the briefings that she provides on job roles. I am therefore assured that candidates she presents to me as an employer are fully briefed and are definite potentials for the vacancy. Working with Sarah is a pleasure and I would strongly recommend her services to anyone seeking to recruit HR professionals!
