After graduating from Salford University with a Masters in Strength and Conditioning, I moved back down South to undertake an internship which turned full time coaching scholarship and performance team athletes at Imperial College London. After a year and a half at the university, I decided it was time for a new challenge and accepted an opportunity to work for a sports fitness testing start-up company helping the sales, marketing and testing team. My career took an unfortunate turn when the startup company lost funding.
After realizing the strength and conditioning industry was more a part-time out of hours job that I could do on the side of a full-time role - I started to look into recruitment due to the similar skill set of customer relationships and business development. After numerous interviews at different recruitment agencies, I found Oakleaf to be the perfect match for my values and personality. I joined the professional services team and currently assist with permanent HR jobs from entry-level – junior level positions. I am thrilled to be a part of a company who value every employee and are committed to development.
In my spare time, I am a competitive golfer (handicap 6) and enjoy any sporting challenges – I recently completed a half marathon. I am also a keen cook and baker.
