Following a management career in the Business-to-Business services sector, I was headhunted into the recruitment sector with a leading independent, multi-disciplined consultancy in London. Here I established, developed and managed a successful team recruiting senior level Support professionals before choosing Human Resources as a specialist focus.
With over 10 years HR & OD recruitment experience including over 8 years recruiting specifically for the Third Sector, I have successfully delivered retained searches and contingency recruitment campaigns for a wide range of leading Private, Public and Not-for-Profit organisation and across all of the specialist disciplines of HR and Development. Attracted by Oakleaf’s clear customer ethos and strong values, I joined the Third Sector team as Senior Consultant in 2014 and I was delighted to be asked to Manage the team in 2015. I am passionate about attracting the very best HR talent to work within the Third sector and I am looking forward to building even more successful relationships with clients and candidates seeking a service driven and results focused recruitment specialist.
Outside of work, when I’m not playing dad (and personal chauffeur) to my two kids, I enjoy keeping myself in shape at the gym and through self-defence and I am also a budding cook with passion for a wide range of cuisine. I enjoy visiting far-away destinations and in recent years I seem to have developed an unexpected appetite for swimming with sharks!
Interesting discussions around the importance of commerciality in the delivery of contemporary HR leadership, specifically in the Charity sector.

Starbucks are launching an interest-free loan scheme for staff, as well as giving approximately 4,500 employees a pay rise.
My experience with Oakleaf was welcoming, helpful, friendly and professional. Adrian took the time to understand my needs in relation to my next role, he kept me in the loop and was always contactable and responded to any queries that I had. I am very grateful to Adrian for finding me a suitable position so quickly and would without hesitation recommend him to other HR professionals looking for their next role.
HR Manager – Cultural Charity
Why is Adrian different? From a candidate's perspective, and I can speak with personal experience, he is probably the most pro¬fessional, supportive and also challenging recruitment consultant I have had the pleasure of working with. He fully understands his client and therefore can provide an excellent overview to candidates; his interview questions are thought provoking and en¬abled me to share my experiences and views to demonstrate my fit to this role. Having been appointed through Adrian I have ensured he has helped me find two people for my team. From a clients’ perspective I have now experienced an excellent service and I know that my CEO also thought this too. I have a background in recruitment and have previously managed executive search and selection appointments in my HR consultancy so I have very high expectations as a candidate and as a client. Unfortunately Adrian is one of the few in this industry that shines out – he certainly is an asset to Oakleaf.
HR Director – Social Care Charity
I wanted to let you know I've accepted a fantastic opportunity and I really didn't think I would get it! I'd like to take this opportunity to also thank you for your support right back to last year. Even in a brief conversation we had recently where I was questioning if I was applying for roles at the right level your advice was to keep persisting, on a day where I really didn't feel very confident. It meant a lot more than you might've realised! It's been great working with you and I hope that might continue in the future.

We view Oakleaf as the preferred provider for People and Learning staff. I have worked with Adrian for some time and more recently, Harriet Lavender. I have found both responsive, insightful and professional. I am in the talent business and its important to me that the agent that I do business with for my talent doesn’t only get this but lives and breathes it as I do. Success for my charity depends on talented people and learning skills and expertise – and I trust Adrian to work with me to achieve this. There are very few HR service providers that provide this niche insight and understanding – so I am delighted that Oakleaf exists and can take this space!
