Shay studied for an MA in The Comparative Studies of World Religions whilst studying for her 'A' levels. She went on to complete a degree in Sociology at Royal Holloway, University of London graduating with a 2:1 BA (Hons). She joined Oakleaf Partnership in 2006, recruiting HR professionals from entry level to £35,000 salary levels, on an Interim basis.
