Richard Laurenson, Consultant
I joined Oakleaf Partnership in 2010 following a successful recruitment career in New Zealand and my relocation to London. Whilst at home in New Zealand, I worked as an in-house recruitment advisor for a leading Australasian bank (on the back of a completed Human Resources internship) and for an award winning New Zealand owned recruitment agency.
During my recruitment career in-house, I managed the end to end recruitment process for the retail banking sector, sourcing and placing candidates across all tiers within the branch network. However eager to learn more, I made the transition to agency recruitment where I spent three years managing a dual desk, placing temporary and permanent staff into the finance, banking and insurance sectors.
Before entering the recruitment industry, I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution at a leading New Zealand University. When I'm not focusing on the recruitment world, I enjoy the gym and international travel sighting China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai, Australia and Samoa to be my favourite places visited.
