After spending four brilliant years at the University of Reading, studying firstly a BA in Ancient History and then an MA in Modern History, in 2008 it was time to take the plunge into professional working life.

After several conversations with one of the consultants at Oakleaf Partnership (with one eye on future fee no doubt!) my head was firmly turned towards a career in HR, however my big break was proving difficult to find. Having spent my academic career studying History and with the unfortunate timing of coming out of my Masters in the middle Britain's largest economic crisis in recent history, I lacked both the experience or qualifications to get my foot in the door to the world of HR. Thankfully after several months of voluntary work with a local charity, Oakleaf offered me what I hope will prove to be my big break when I was contacted about doing a temporary role at the company, and after a few short months they were brave enough to offer me a fulltime contract which I was delighted to accept. I have already learnt a great deal in the brief few months I have spent here and am extremely excited about what the future holds.

Away from work my time is spent living the bi-polar life of an Arsenal fan (unfortunately more low points than high in recent seasons!) and the typical lifestyle of an early 20's young professional - juggling the work hard play hard mantra to the best of my abilities.
