Karen Hague, Senior Consultant
After graduating in 1997 with a degree in English from Leeds University, I travelled round the world as a way of delaying my entry into the big wide world of work! On returning to the UK, I started my recruitment career as an admin temp for a recruitment agency in Windsor before taking on a full time role as consultant recruiting permanent secretarial staff across all industries. Following a move back up North I spent a few years working in Warrington and Liverpool again dealing with primarily secretarial recruitment before taking the opportunity to relocate to Sydney. I worked there for 18 months, firstly in the major account centre of a large global agency and then managing a team of very busy temporary recruiters. Following my return to London I have spent the last five years recruiting temporary secretarial staff with the last 2 ½ years spent recruiting in the legal secretarial arena. Ready to move into a more specialised area, I joined Oakleaf very keen to make my mark in the world of HR recruitment. Away from work I enjoy running and this year ran a half marathon for charity, unfortunately due to injury my running career is on hold and I am currently enjoying swimming and ‘gymming', plus having more spare time for the finer things in life such as eating out and weekends away catching up with friends.
