Our 2012 Research report ‘Raising the bar in HR Recruitment’ showed that there was a clear need to enhance new employee’s success rates post appointment – especially in the first 100 days. Ever the innovators, we have since established the highly successful Oakleaf Partnership Mentor Scheme.

The scheme is available to candidates we have placed into permanent or fixed term contract roles (6 months or longer), regardless of sector. Our network spans all professional roles and levels from Global HR Directors, to Reward, Talent and Resourcing specialists and HR Officers, who can offer their specialist advice. We appreciate that starting in a new position or organisation can be daunting, and our consultants will work with you to establish the level of support you might need and match you with your perfect mentor.

Our mentors have previously assisted candidates with cross sector queries, those wanting to broaden their HR network after moving abroad, and offered support in establishing new HR functions in a business. Whatever your query, we are confident that we can match you with a mentor with the relevant experience to advice and support you.

If you would like to find out more about acquiring a mentor or would like to volunteer to be an Oakleaf mentor, please email mentor@oakleafpartnership.com or watch the video below.

Mentor

“Having navigated some interesting and challenging circumstances in my own career, being able to support a talented HR professional through counsel, challenge, coaching acting as confidante and most of all building a trusting and mutually beneficial relationship has been very rewarding.”

– Chris Leonard, EMEA Head of HR

Mentee

“Oakleaf has introduced me to a senior HRD, who I’m lucky enough to have built a strong professional relationship with. This has really benefited me in terms of acting as a sounding board outside my current organisation, pushing me in my professional development and allowing me to really think outside the box. This is a great idea that really adds value.”

– Sarah Day, Global Head of People
