Mining Firm Uses Seven Second Appraisal Forms

Of interest to those working in the Natural Resources sector, is an interesting article in yesterday’s People Management on a new appraisal process introduced at First Quantum Minerals.
In a drive to bring a fresh and innovative approach to managing talent, the company is using a simplified appraisal form that takes “only 7 seconds” to complete. Linking the results to full-day ‘talent reviews’ where managers identify top performers and discuss their future requirements, this new process has been deemed so successful that it is now being rolled out globally.
