An HR business leader at Grant Thornton has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to the City of London.

Sacha Romanovitch, Head of People and Culture and board member at the financial and business advisory firm, has been awarded the Jaguar Woman of Achievement Award 2009 at the annual Women in the City Lunch and Awards Ceremony.   Romanovitch, who also received the Accountancy award in October, has beaten six finalists to win the prize. She comments: "Having seen all the inspirational women involved in Women in the City and the other award winners I feel humbled to receive this award. I believe that creating a truly diverse environment where anyone, no matter what their background, race or gender, can succeed is fundamental in making the best of all our talent."  Gwen Rhys, founder and Director of Women in the City, adds: "Congratulations to Sacha and well done for a much deserved honour. The awards shine a spotlight of attention on women working at senior levels within London, and this helps to promote women's careers as well as the organisations they work for, and creates an environment for talent to flourish."
