Benefits Consultant

Our client a leading Financial Services firm is seeking a Benefits Consultant for a 10 – 12 month maternity cover. If successful, you will report into the Reward Director and take responsibility for all aspects of benefit and recognition management. As  Benefits consultant, you will develop the role in line with the commercial needs of the business and build credibility in the way you involve and work with third party suppliers and advisors. You will create and deliver a business focussed benefits strategy and responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Management of the flexible benefits plan including benefits brokering, procurement, and management of third party suppliers/advisors - including organisation-wide annual renewal
  • Analysis of the benefits market, and implementation of other voluntary benefits, recognition initiatives and pension provision
  • Provision of tools, analysis, communications, and ad hoc support on benefits issues.
  • Management of administrative services provided by third party supplier
  • New projects and initiatives to ensure the organisation remains competitive
  • Management, promotion and co-ordination of organisation-wide non cash recognition initiatives
  • Management of relationship with pension plan administrators
  • Preparation of management information for pension governance body
  • Benchmarking / competitor analysis / market research / participation in groups and surveys
  • Support and advice to HR generalists on all aspects of benefits

 

Technical knowledge required:

  • Experience of working in a reward team, and flexible benefits management and/or implementation
  • Proven project management and delivery experience gained through successful project implementation
  • Experience of management and negotiation with third party suppliers/service providers
  • Experience of complex reward modelling and statistical analysis
  • Advanced excel and data manipulation skills
  • Knowledge of pay modelling an advantage
  • A good understanding of reward theory and its practical application
  • Highly numerate with a proven track record of complex problem solving
  • Excellent, concise communication skills - especially written
  • Ability to juggle tasks and priorities, determination and resilience to deliver under pressure.
