A leading insurance firm is looking for a HR Officer to join their busy team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the HR Manager you will contribute to the day to day operation and delivery of the HR function. You will assist in the coverage of an employee base of 420 across 7 locations in the UK. This particular role is based in Essex

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment including interviewing across a wide range of positions (ideally insurance related) at all levels, job analysis and design, advertising, agency liaison etc.
  • Advising and supporting managers on grievance and disciplinary positions in line with legislation and observing HR policies. Also providing a meditation service to resolve any issues which may have an impact on performance.
  • Experience in TUPE’s and redundancies.
  • Updating and maintaining the HR systems ensuring all information is correct and up to date.
  • To arrange, assist and deliver induction programmes for new staff.
  • Responsible for producing turnover figures, appraisal, absence and head count for management meetings.
  • Work alongside managers and supervisors to develop people management skills through training programmes and coaching.

    Ideally you will be CIPD qualified with proven experience across a range of HR activities, be able to demonstrate an interest in business and have commercial awareness. Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate at all levels are essential together with an aptitude for mediation and tackling difficult situations head on.
