Global Mobility Advisor and HR Advisor
I am working with a leading global built asset consultancy to recruit an international assignment / global mobility specialist into a standalone post in their friendly HR team. Reporting into the International HR Manager, this post has responsibility for coordinating all inbound, out bound and third country secondments. You will be the first point of contact for all secondees and expatriates as well as the subject matter expert on immigration and tax structures.
Main duties will include:
- Implementing structure and process to manage inbound and outbound secondees and transfers
- Working with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate management information is fed back and recorded to enable smooth relocation of candidates
- Providing consultancy services to the business on the drivers behind a secondment; the calculation of remuneration packages through build-up scenarios, tax equalisation, market-rate salaries and hybrid approaches; legislative restrictions and best practice approach.
- Advising on policy interpretation and exception
- Producing assignment cost projections and calculations
- Managing supplier relationships for international services including tax, immigration, relocation assistance, salary benchmarking and temporary accommodation
- Supporting the salary review for the expatriate staff group and compiling year end tax information for P11D reporting purposes
- Providing due diligence and up to date advice on immigration and working rights within the UK
- Development of process and communications for international HR
- Guidance and advice to overseas offices on Group HR processes
- Liaising with Reward and Payroll to ensure correct information, salary payments and tax deductions
- Working on due diligence advice for new market entry strategy and country set-up
Applicants must have a proven track record and experience of working in a similar role within a professional services environment. You will be educated to degree standard or equivalent and able to demonstrate experience of working in an international HR capacity. Good knowledge of tax laws in varying locations are a must as is an understanding of UK visa processes.
Due to the nature of my clients business the global mobility process is very reactive, therefore it is imperative that candidates have experience of setting up entities in new locations and are resourceful and inquisitive in being able to find out information on their own. A minimum of four years strong global mobility experience is required, as well as previous generalist experience and/or demonstrable wider HR knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to liaise with multiple stakeholders across all levels, and a high degree of cultural awareness comes with this.
Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
