A professional governing body is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join their team based in London. Reporting to the HR/OD Business Partner the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the efficiency of the HR function by providing first level advice and administrative support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing generalist HR support and HR advice to senior staff situated in various locations.
- Managing the recruitment process by providing effective and timely recruitment administration. The recruitment process can encompass
- Covering absentees.
- Develop and maintain effective HR systems so that all things are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Develop systems which record and produce management information for the use of HR/OD business partners.
- Manage the HR system, ensuring it is up to date and accurate.
- Set up and maintain personnel records.
- Take responsibility for the payroll process again ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain the presentation and administration of the induction process for new starters, ensuring the day to day induction runs smoothly.
- Support in the recognition of training needs and arranging training activities.
- Ensure all work stations are adopted and work effectively for all staff in all locations.
- Contribute to company policies to ensure they meet legal requirements.
Key skills required:
- Good knowledge of UK and EU employment legislation
- Previous HR experience
- Ideally graduated CIPD.
- Proven experience of using computerised personnel databases.
