Regional Retail Learning & Development Consultant

£30-40,000 plus full travel expenses

Are you a learning and development specialist with experience and knowledge of the Retail sector?

Our client, a well respected retail brand, is looking for a dynamic Learning & Development Consultant to join their National Retail Learning & Development team. This role is based from home, delivering a range of training programmes across the Southern Home Counties region. This will involve travelling across the region to support the learning needs of number of stores and their staff.  You should be prepared to travel to locations that include Banbury, Swindon, Reading, Dorking, Guildford and High Wycombe as well as other locations within this geographical region.

As Retail L&D Consultant you will be expected to consult with and advise key contacts within the stores to identify learning and development needs and deliver a wide range of L& D solutions. The focus will be on high quality technical and competency workshops aligned to the needs of the business. This role has a high level of delivery with it and strong stakeholder management.

Success criteria for this role must include:

• Excellent facilitation and communication skills with an adult to adult, open style
• An L&D  background in Retail, Hospitality or Leisure
• An understanding of an internal consultant role
• Comfortable with high levels of delivery (approx 3 days per week)
• Broad understanding of key learning theories and models and their application
• Experience of performance management, business competencies, coaching, career and development planning, feedback  and leadership development
• Be based in and able to travel to all store locations with ease within the prescribed Southern Home Counties area.
• Ability to work effectively within a remote team environment
