VP Employee Relations

 

Our client, a leading global financial institution, seeks an Employee Relations expert to join the business at VP level. This is a key role where you will be interacting directly with internal and external contacts including managers, HR Business partners, employees and legal teams to provide advice and support on a wide range of complex enquiries and projects.

 

As an ER specialist you will be expected to develop strong relationships with the HR and legal teams within your support network. You will facilitate round table discussions, resolving advanced employee relations issues, making recommendations for improvements to HR policy and supporting and advising Business Unit managers through difficult processes such as redundancies and investigations.

 

Key skills and competencies should include:

 

  • Deep subject matter expertise in the application of employment law, HR policy and process
  • Knowledge of documentation/interview procedures for ER investigations
  • Experience gained through working in an employee relations function or an employment legal practice
  • Ability to build relationships throughout the organisation to help resolve employee complex enquiries/issues
  • Ability to manage conflicting and demanding clients and priorities
  • Resourceful to obtain multi-faceted answers to complex employee issues
  • Ability to assess risk in employee issues
  • Ability to work in high pressure and high transaction environment
  • Sound judgement in the handling of sensitive employee matters and enquiries
