Senior Assessment Consultant
I am working with a leading UK graduate and volume recruitment consultancy to recruit a Senior Assessment Consultant to be based in the head office in Berkshire. This is a permanent opportunity for a BPS Level A and B qualified occupational psychologist who is looking to add value to a business as a subject matter expert for selection and assessment.

Thanks to the level of recruitment expertise and leading edge technology, the firm has built a reputation that has turned the business into a market leader in this field. As a result of increasing demand for assessment services, they are now looking to strengthen their in-house assessment team.
The role will involve leading assessment design and delivery projects on behalf of the assessment stream, working either independently or leading a team, within agreed SLAs. Your area of expertise will be conducting job analysis, developing competency frameworks, designing assessment exercises/events and psychometric testing. Experience of managing the implementation of these projects is essential.
You will have strong communication skills and will be able to work quickly and efficiently on a number of projects concurrently.
Key duties will include:
· Leading a team of in house assessment consultants as well as managing a flexible pool of up to 70 associate consultants during busy periods.
· Involvement in pitching for client business as the subject matter expert
· Putting together project teams for particular pieces of work dependent on the client’s requirements and which consultants have the right abilities / scope
· Putting together bespoke models of service for key clients
· Ensuring all assessment solutions not only reflect best practice in recruitment and comply with employment law but are commercially viable and logistically practical.
· Ensuring all assessment materials used are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the client.
· Providing advice and guidance to clients on the most appropriate assessment tools to be used.
· Providing consultative advice to clients in relation to any legislative changes and the impact on services to those clients.
· Leading briefings and training sessions as required with associates delivering specific client projects
· Acting as Assessment Centre Manager or Assessor as required at client Assessment Centres
· Undertaking application screening, telephone interviewing, candidate feedback and the creation of candidate development summaries where necessary
· Continued market analysis of methods, tools, services, processes and products to enhance the Assessment & Selection Services service offering.
· Act as mentor to other Assessment Consultants and provide advice and guidance as required
The ideal candidate will be BPS Level A and B qualified and ideally qualified to MSc in Occupational Psychology or equivalent HR level.
Candidates who are currently in the Graduate Recruitment field in house who are BPS qualified and / or working towards their MSc will be considered.
They must have strong applied expertise in the design and delivery of assessment and selection processes/exercises that complies with recruitment best practice as well as proven achievements in account management plus the ability to negotiate and influence at senior level. Candidates need to be both focused on standards of delivery but also commercially orientated with strong business acumen .
