My client is highly ambitious multi-cultural charity and they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior HR Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Programme Director and all London based staff, ensuring that all management practices are in line with wider group policies. The Senior HR Officer will report directly into the Administrative Director of the organisation and the Director of International Human Resources based in New York. If you have at least three years of Human Resource Management experience, are either a Fellow/Chartered CIPD member and have a passion for working for a vibrant, politically orientated charity this is certainly a fantastic opportunity not to be missed!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of all employee contracts;
  • Preparation of consultants' contracts.
  • Coordination of payroll with an outside company; salary, total cost of compensation and increases as directed by the Office of International Human Resources.
  • Obtain work permits, registrations and accession cards; coordinating this with outside counsel.
  • HR benefits enrolments; termination of benefits; and coordination of employee status change under the supervision of the Office of International Human Resources.
  • Employee travel tracking under the supervision of the Office of International Human Resources.
  • Initiate and manage recruitment procedures.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and exit interview meetings.
  • Scheduling of UK training events at the direction of the Director of International HR.
  • Track performance evaluation compliance.
  • Review and update the employee handbook/HR policies on a regular basis to ensure compliance with UK Law and under the guidance of the Office of International Human Resources.
  • Manage the Human Resources Assistant.           
  • Special Projects as assigned by the Administrative Director and Director of International Human Resources.

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Significant experience of providing HR support to managers.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law and Immigration Controls for the UK.
  • Experience of Data Protection Legislation would be an advantage as would previous experience of working for an International organisation.
  • Desire to work for a multi - cultural charity. 
  • Able to identify the HR implications of the organisation's plans, report to Senior Management, and respond as directed with an integrated approach.
  • A team player and able to work in a collaborative way and under the supervision of the International Office of Human Resources.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a multi-national team.
  • Flexible, resourceful and innovative.
