One of largest legal providers in the world are looking for an experienced HR manager to run HR for their London office. This business has a global reach and strong brand in its field. HR is in a relative stage of infancy and therefore this person will be working on developing a more commercial HR function that actually partners the business in the region.This is an interesting and challenging role for the right person.

Principal Objectives:

  • To secure the optimum performance of HR to all Partners, fee earners and staff in the region
  • To take responsibility for the delivery of the HR service
  • To co-ordinate with the Head of Organisational Development to optimise the support provided to the business (Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation and Benefits, HR Director and HR Business Manager)
  • To work with Partners and Business Managers to ensure an excellent service which reflects the needs of the business and ensures an improvement of the services offered by HR in the appointed region
  • To work with the Practice Group HR Managers to co-ordinate the service in their location and liaise with regard to key priorities
  • Work as part of the HR team in the UK and contribute to the development of the function, services and achievement of the goals of the business
  • To implement policies, procedures and processes in line with corporate guiding principles

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Background and Experience

  • Accomplished HR generalist, ideally with a direct experience of a partnership or professional services environment
  • A thorough working knowledge of managing an HR service covering all levels of staff in both support and fee earning functions
  • Experience of creating a service culture in a demanding intellectual environment
  • Successful record of implementing projects, through the development of quality services, processes and HR skills
