My client, a highly successful investment firm and fund manager with c150 global employees, has a current requirement for a senior C&B professional to join them on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the Head of HR, the role will focus primarily on developing the company's approach to and the effective implementation of C&B in such a way as to positively contribute towards the overall success of the business.  This is a stand alone position and the successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and influence. 

Key Responsibilities

-          End to end management of the annual compensation round - project manage the whole process working closely with the Exec Committee and Finance and provide consistent advice to managers regarding appropriate levels of compensation and awards to individuals.

-          Work with the Head of HR and Exec Committee on overall compensation strategy. 

-          Develop and improve processes to ensure that all compensation related administration is accurate and streamlined

-          Work with external tax advisors to remedy tax issues across all global offices.

-          Competitor analysis.  Regular market surveys - identify and respond to changes in competitor compensation.

-          Manage the operation and administration of the UK stakeholder pension including strategy, staff communication, legal compliance etc

-          Ensure that share schemes are appropriately administered and the process is communicated to staff.

-          Oversee the HR Assistant who has responsibility for global payroll and P11D reporting.

The ideal candidate will display a thorough understanding of complex compensation packages and their associated administration - practical experience of Carried Interest is greatly preferred .  A thorough and systematic approach with a high attention to detail is essential for success in this role.  While technical expertise is vital for success, exceptional communication skills and a strong influencing style is also a must as this individual will be expected to build and maintain robust relationships at the most senior levels.  A positive, engaging style is incredibly important.
