My client is a mid-sized Financial Services firm offering a wide range of financial products across the globe.  They have a current requirement for an experienced HR Advisor to join them on a permanent basis to provide a dedicated HR service to a specific business unit.  Due to the size of the business and the success of the existing HR model, they need an individual who can be relied upon to act as a consultant to senior managers while at the same time you must be happy to be fairly self-sufficient from an administrative point of view (the successful candidate will manage an assistant who will take the bulk of high-volume administration but the HR Advisor will also have their share!)

This is a varied role covering recruitment, employee relations, performance management, new joiner and leaver management, expat management, ad hoc project support to the HR Manager and Employment Law advice.  In addition, the successful candidate will get the chance to play a key role in global HR projects.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be proactive and able to use their initiative - an open creative approach to solving problems is essential.  Candidates must display an in-depth understanding of the life cycle of an employee gained from a broad generalist HR grounding.  Financial Services experience is not essential providing that can demonstrate a resilient nature and the ability to follow a steep learning curve.  What is preferred is a small-medium sized company background where candidates are responsible for the whole generalist remit.
