My client is a market leader in the professional services sector with an enviable reputation. Oakleaf are partnering them in the recruitment of a CIPD qualified, operationally focused HR Manager to provide professional support across their Scotland and Northern Ireland HR team. Based from Edinburgh, the appointed applicant will be a visible, key point of contact within the business. The role will involve managing and developing a HR Advisor as well as having ownership for implementing the Talent Agenda within a set business area.
Key accountabilities will include:
• Day to day management responsibility for general HR operational matters
• Providing full and comprehensive advice and guidance on all ER related matters with ability to manage and provide solutions to complex cases
• Manage the annual performance management cycle and bi annual salary and promotion review, and analyse/ provide on going evaluation and feedback for the process
• Manage a HR Advisor, providing ongoing support and development
• Analyse MI to identify Key Performance Indicators, trends etc and use this to recommend appropriate interventions and influence business strategy.
The preferred applicant will be able to demonstrate significant exposure to a true Professional Services environment and will be passionate about delivering first-class, hands-on HR support. Working knowledge of SAP and/ or HRIS would be an advantage although not essential. This role really is a superb opportunity for a pragmatic candidate who endorses ‘common sense HR’ to further their career within a commercially aligned HR function. The business are currently undergoing a transformation to the approach to delivery of HR services throughout the firm so they are looking for an individual who can ensure that the new processes are embedded at a local level, whilst ensuring complete buy in from the wider team.
