Learning & Development Specialist

Our client is a high profile central government department; they have an opportunity for a Learning & Development Specialist to join them for a 12 month contract to cover maternity.
- Input to the strategy for all leadership, management and personnel effectiveness programmes
- Joint working with external suppliers to design programmes, covering all levels in the organisation and including induction
- Co-facilitation with external providers to ensure the quality and relevance of programme content
- Training needs analysis for teams and individuals Advice and guidance on appropriate learning and development activities, for example, 360˚ feedback, psychometrics (MBTI etc), coaching, mentoring etc
- Design and facilitation of internally delivered programmes Development of blended learning solutions, including e-learning programmes, working with HR and line colleagues where appropriate Input to the design of talent management activities
- One-to-one support for participants on the Leadership Development Programme Evaluation of all learning and development activities to assess impact and value for money Effective management of all related budgets
- Promoting the Organisation externally through, for example, networking with other organisations, delivering presentations at external conferences, briefing international visitors and international assignments
- Leading on the development and maintenance of systems and processes which support management information on learning and development activity, and setting standards and advising on the use of such systems and processes
- Responsible for the specification, evaluation and awarding of contracts to external suppliers through a tender process, and the on going management of external supplier relationships and contracts
The successful candidate will have a strong background delivering Learning & Development Solutions within the Public Sector. Experience working with Learning & Development techniques including 360 Feedback, MBTI and other psychometric profiling tools is essential. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or working towards it with Level A & B Psychometric testing qualifications.
