Working at this international law firm and based in stunning new City offices you will be working at the forefront of this leading business development team.   As a key player in the most critical element of the firms growth, you will be responsible for reinforcing the importance of all new business and will be the central point of contact for all new pitches. 

You will be responsible for coaching, advising and helping partners and associates to win specific competitive pitches.  Further duties will include: helping partners define and execute the strategy; competitor intelligence; production of documentation; coaching bid presentations; debriefing clients after the bid - enabling the firm to learn from both successes and failures and modifying their processes where necessary.

You will develop the firm's capability in this area though the following:

·         Promoting and developing the firm's bid methodology

·         Working with the Learning & Development team

·         Developing and maintaining pitch management tools

·         Improving standard content and presentation materials to support the bid process.  On occasion this will mean working with our intelligence provider to conduct research into nominated accounts as a means of aiding the strategic direction of the companies offerings.

·         Maintaining a bid library

·         Developing and updating a gains / loss analysis for bids undertaken

Person Specification:

You will be highly commercial with a real interest in business and exceptionally sensitive to dynamics between yourself and others - within the bid team and between the team and client.  You need to be able to spot the drivers and anxieties of people and 'work' them.  You will be used to multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
