Our client is a high profile and innovative arts organisation; they have a requirement for a HR Officer to join them for an initial 6 month period during a period of change. This is a relaxed, friendly and social environment with a culture of inclusion. The HR Officer will be involved in all aspects of recruitment & HR coordination, due to the current period of change the department will be very busy flexibility and a ‘can do' attitude is key.
Principal duties:
Recruitment Administration
- Update and get approval for repeat adverts / job specs / interview questions
- Place adverts on behalf of managers
- Liaise with agencies
- Process CV's and recruitment website
- Contact applicants, set up and organise interviews
- Issue standard letters
- Prepare and issue contracts and employment documents
New Starter Administration
- CRB / security checks
- Work status interviews & starter documents
- Organise first day introductions and induction
- Organise bi-monthly induction day
Ongoing
- Monitoring visa expiry dates
- Fixed Term contract expiry dates
- Wages with Finance
- Probation reports
Maintain / update
- HR system, personnel records & staff files
- Holiday and sickness records
- Equal Opportunities statistics and records
General
- Ensuring all personnel and recruitment records are correctly archived.
- Provide support to the department, ie managing diary, organising meetings and taking minutes
- To control relevant budgets and ensure all financial and policy matters are managed in strict accordance with policies and procedures.
The successful HR Officer will demonstrate previous experience of recruitment coordination, excellent administrative, IT and organisational skills will be essential. You will be highly numerate with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. A ‘can do', flexible and proactive attitude is key.
