A true business partner role working at this top City law firm where you will act as the first point of contact for assigned client groups between HR and the business to deliver a full, HR generalist service.
You will work as an integral member of the assigned client groups helping them to maximise all aspects of people performance in order to deliver business objectives. You will be responsible for delivering a full HR operations service covering everything from written offer to exit interview.
Duties will encompass but are not limited to, involvement in the following processes:
Advise, challenge and influence line managers to make informed business decisions which drive improved business performance in a cost effective and commercial manner.
Support the delivery and implementation of change management projects, in line with our business strategies and financial challenges. Learning points are identified and acted upon and that the outcomes of change are sustained.
To ensure that performance management and quality face to face performance reviews
are understood by their client area(s) and are an integral part of the business unit.
Working with the Head of HR to contribute to the design and delivery of the HR/People Plan.
To champion the communication of relevant and consistent HR information to the business units.
Support the line with the delivery of face to face communication and employee engagement.
Provide guidance to line management on implementation of initiatives and processes which address team and individual development needs, seeking out and developing appropriate local solutions.
Advise line managers on employee relations issues, in line with Firm policy and
employment legislation, building effective relationships and partnerships with employees and other key stakeholders in order to enable the business unit to meet their objectives.
Facilitate and advise managers in the application of compensation policies.
Provide case management advice on particularly complex or sensitive cases, ensuring accurate and timely guidance to line management in order to reach resolution.
Analyse management data, eg: absence, to identify trends and advise managers of appropriate action.
Participate and lead HR related projects as required
Be accountable for the delivery of the HR/People Plan in the business unit(s). Liaise with other HR team members in order to work collaboratively on cross Firm issues.
Person Specification:
· Graduate Calibre /CIPD qualified (advantage not essential)
· Professional and proactive with previous experience operating as an HRBP
in an organisation known for its HR practices
· Up to date knowledge of employment law
· Grievance Disciplinary and dismissal handling
· Strong commercial awareness
