The Client Partner is accountable for all revenue, margin and client experience for a portfolio of specific, named Key clients, focussing on the development of broad business relationships.

 

Role purpose 

 

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Client Partner (CP) is accountable for all revenue, margin and client experience for a portfolio of specific Key clients, focussing on the development of broad business relationships. The CP is accountable for the creation and execution of successful client strategies that lead to the firms success through selling individual and cross-capability HCM propositions.

 

To grow profitable revenue through anticipating, meeting and exceeding client expectations and experiences, by leading and managing the business development strategy and activities for the named client(s).

 

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

  • To be accountable for the definition and execution of the client strategies, budgets, resource requirements, approach, revenue and client satisfaction
  • To be accountable for knowledge and understanding of client directions, issues, imperatives, strategies, and organisation
  • To agree and deliver own personal targets for revenue generation and direct contribution (informed by sector strategy and targets)
  • To develop appropriate relationships with the clients to have a broad understanding of relevant external issues and to use these to identify opportunities for the company
  • To sell and support others in the sale of profitable solutions to the client and seek opportunities to grow business across the HCM offering
  • To provide accurate forecasting and current financial information
  • To help resolve conflicts of interest relating to resource allocation in order to satisfy client demand (both in a business development and delivery context)
  • To identify opportunities for improvement of services and delivery strategies as part of managing the client experience
  • To input sector related and other Market Intelligence and be part of Market Offering development team where required
  • To monitor client experience at an overall level, taking action as needed, actively improving it
  • To provide feedback on client experience to inform performance management
  • To promptly resolve queries which have resulted in the non-payment of debts 

Scope of role

  • Accountable for all activity within named clients
  • Accountable for all revenue within named clients
  • Responsible for direct contribution within portfolio of clients
  • Authority to determine pricing for each sale within economic framework
  • Accountable for resources (people, technology, etc) during context of an assignment
  • Accountability for client experience
  • Number and type of accounts will vary depending on sector and regional strategies and whether designated the lead client partner. All accounts will be named, along with a number of target accounts

Personal attributes, skills, knowledge and experience:

Deep sector knowledge in one or more sectors

Excellent track record in selling business solutions

Passionate about clients

Deep understanding of the sales management processes, with great insight into clients to identify what clients really want and how to meet those demands

Excellent at articulating solutions based on business need

Excellent at influencing and negotiating to a mutually beneficial position
