This business is the investment banking division of a global financial services firm. With a distinctive business model that provides corporations, financial institutions and governments with solutions to their financing and risk management needs.

 

They are currently looking for an outstanding Learning & Development specialist to support the front office business with end to end provision of business focused learning and development solutions.

 

You will oversee the end to end process supporting all related development activities including:

Provide a consultative service to the business and HR Client Relationship teams to help identify and advise on the most appropriate development interventions for their businesses in line with business goals. This will include understanding the business need and identifying where exiting solutions, including external courses and e-learning, meet the need and where bespoke solutions are required.

Vendor management including relationships and contracts

Ensuring Analysis/Evaluation of courses and providing reports/recommendations to improve training effectiveness

Understanding the overall training budget and implications to ensure optimal use of resources and investment and providing reports to demonstrate value added/costs incurred where applicable

Where required, design and develop common tools with regard to diagnostics, design, implementation, and evaluation of the above products including e-learning modules

Provide knowledge to HR community in chosen field of expertise.

Monitor industry best practice to ensure the client remains current with regard to its people and maintains competitive advantage in the market

Work with the other learning & development colleagues (including the infrastructure team and the Performance Management & Talent team) to ensure that best practice is being leveraged across groups

Continually assess existing procedures, processes and products and help suggest, design and implement enhancements or new ideas

Contribute to the provision of support, advice and facilitation to the business on bespoke L&D interventions (e.g. Talent, MBTI, Off-sites, PDP's)

Deliver training for central products and services (e.g. appraisal skills training & induction)

Essential:

Higher education preferably in relevant discipline

Preferred:

 

CIPD Degree/Graduate preferred

Experience required

 

Essential:

Significant knowledge of and experience in the L & D arena

Solid (and recent) experience working in demanding and pace driven environment within Financial Services or within Global blue chip corporations in an HR/L&D role

Preferred:

 

Experience within Front Office Business in a L &D role

· Experience of working in Sales preferably in Financial Services
