Our client is a respected and high profile accountancy and business advisary business based in the city. They have been going through a period of development across the HR function to deliver a more efficient and commercial approach. They currently require a part time learning manager to support the learning director in building a more bespoke learning and development operation. The role will be for 3 days a week.
Role Purpose:
Support business objectives through diagnosis of needs and creation/implementation of appropriate and effective learning interventions
Responsiblitlies:
Develop a detailed understanding of business goals in order to create bespoke development interventions which support all staff in the pursuit of these goals:
- Gap analysis: Understand the prioritised business goals and the skills required to achieve them. Diagnose current skill set and plan interventions to close the gap
- Design and delivery of development interventions
- Liaise with external providers where appropriate to design and deliver interventions
- Where required facilitate workshops and business events
Developing a culture and skill base of coaching:
- Through review of development plans identify key staff that would benefit from coaching and offer support
- Communicate to, and persuade the business of, the value of developing coaching skills in the ‘management' population
- Create and deliver coaching skills programmes and monitor impact and effectiveness
Induction:
- In partnership with other L&D Managers deliver the Induction programme
- When necessary, update and modify materials and/or liaise with business specialists who currently deliver various sections
- Lead a full review of Induction taking into account business needs and best practice
- Bring together and lead a project team (HR and Business) to create a new approach to Induction
- Pilot, review and embed
General L&D support:
- When required, support the general goals and work of the L&D group as determined by the L&D Director
- In partnership with the other two L&D managers take a lead responsibility for identified offices. Involves growing knowledge of the key players and the development needs with the aim of identifying and prioritising bespoke development support
Experience
- Extensive experience in a learning & development role. Experience in a Professional Services environment would be advantageous
- Experience working as an internal learning & development consultant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of leadership/management development approaches will be advantageous in support of our key objectives
- Degree level education
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Demonstrable ability to work independently - highly self motivated
- Computer literate
